Coconut Ladoo recipe


Let’s start this Diwali with a simple and traditional recipe—a sweet made with coconut which is healthy in this winter season.

Made with 3 ingredients. For anyone who thinks they can’t shape ladoos, I would suggest giving it a try make your first ladoo with coconut.

Make them on any occasion. I have used desiccated coconut which works very well and is easy to work on.

Coconut ladoo

Ingredients

  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1.5 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon elaichi powder
  • Orange food colour (optional)
  • 3 tablespoon ghee

Method

  • Heat a kadhai with ghee add coconut roast till light brown
  • Now add in milk powder, give it a mix
  • Pour in milk, mix till the mixture leaves the pan and it has dried up completely
  • Add elaichi powder and food colour
  • Mix this again
  • Let it cool down apply ghee on your palms and a few drops in the mixture. Mix it again
  • Take small portions and give the shape of a ladoo
  • Here you go, all the ladoos are ready for this festive season.
