Hello you all and thank u for stopping by. As you all know we Indians love our garam masala powder so much that I can’t imagine any recipe without them. Store brought one’s are good no doubt but why not make some fresh masala at home.  It’s not that hard as it may sound. You can make small quantities and keep. No need for making in kilos.

Garam masala powder

Garam Masala powder

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coriander seeds/ dhaniya
  • 3/4 cup cumin seeds/ jeera
  • 5 Bsy leaves/ Tez patta
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper corn/ kali mirch
  • 1 tablespoon cloves/ lavang
  • 1 nutmeg/ jaiphal
  • 1 tablespoon stone flower/ dagad phool
  • 5 sticks cinnamon/ dalchini
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds/ sauf
  • 5 mace
  • 5 red chilli
  • 5 green cardamom
  • 5 black cardamom
  • 5 star anise

Method

  • Take a pan dry roast cumin and coriander separately on low flame and keep aside.
  • In the same pan dry roast rest of the whole spices and cool them down
  • Take a grinder jar and grind the whole spices to fine powder.
  • Remove from the jar and store in air tight container.
  • Use as and when required
  • Simple and quick garam masala powder is ready.
