Paneer pasanda

Paneer pasanda is a bit sweet and sour recipe.Pasanda means favourite in hindi and paneer is everyone’s favourite , unless you are allergic to dairy products, after attempting several times I was successful in making this.its basically a sandwich of dryfruit in paneer.Lets get the recipe

Paneer Pasanda

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of paneer
  • 4 onions
  • 3 cloves, 3 black pepper, 1 tej patta, 1 green elaichi
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 to 3 green chillies
  • 3 to 4 cashew nuts
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon haldi powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon kasuri methi
  • 2 tablespoon dry fruits (raisins, cashewnut )
  • 2 tablespoon paneer crumbled
  • 2 tablespoon cornstrach

Method for gravy

Chop onions, tomatoes, green chilli and keep aside

Take a bowl ,heat some water in it,once it starts boiling add onions, tomato, green chilli, ginger-garlic paste, cashewnut, tej patta, elaichi, cloves and black pepper

Boil till onion and tomato have turned soft

Set aside and let it cool

Keep the stock to use further

Once it has cooled down, blend it into fine paste

The gravy for paneer pasanda is ready

Paneer stuffing

Cut thin slices of paneer in triangle shape

Coarsely grind cashewnut and thinly slice raisins

Add crumbled paneer in the dry fruit with a pinch of red chilli powder and salt

Now, take a bowl add cornstrach and water to make the paste

Here comes the tricky part,take one slice of paneer fill in the mixture drizzle some cornstrach on the mixture as well now layer another slice on top make a sandwich, dip into cornstrach paste and deep fry it

Fry all the sandwich paneer in this manner

Making of Paneer pasanda

Take kadai, pour oil 2 tablespoon add chopped green chilli , now add in the gravy which we prepared initially

Add haldi powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and garam masala powder

Give it a nice mix, you can dilute the gravy by adding the stock as per desired consistency

Add tomato ketchup and salt with the paneer

Garnish with kasuri methi

Enjoy with rotis, naans or tandoori
