Onion parathas/ how to make onion parathas


Onion parathas are saviour for me, they are best parathas for kids tiffin or breakfast n kids have them without nakhra (tantrum).A very simple recipe to try, every ingredient is available in the kitchen for this recipe, so no worries

Ingredients

  • 2 onions (big) finely chopped
  • 2 to 3 green chillies (you can skip this .my kids eat chili)
  • 1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon amchur powder (dry mango powder or lemon juice)
  • 1/4 tablespoon haldi powder ( turmeric)
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala powder
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 cup wheat flour

Method

Take a bowl add chopped onions, green chilli, amchur powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, haldi powder, garam masala powder, oil, wheat flour and salt.mix it well with your hand

Make a dough using required water

Set aside for 10 minutes wrapped in wet cloth

Heat your roti tawa or griddle, meanwhile take small portions of the dough and start rolling into rotis shape

Cook it both the sides on the tawa by applying oil or ghee

Serve it with tomato ketchup

Your onion parathas are ready …enjoy them
