If you love garlic then this recipe will be a hit for you. Fresh cottage cheese and spinach make this dish so scrumptious and delicious. Full of simple flavours with being low on spices. Most recommended recipe for those who love less spicy dishes.

The more garlic you use the more flavour enhances. As the name suggests garlic palak paneer.

Cottage cheese is dipped in spinach puree, let me tell you if you add more spices this dish  turns a bit bitter so be gentle with you masala.

Hubby is a huge fan of this recipe so this is very common in my house. Perfectly tried and tested recipe. Do try it definitely

Lahsuni Palak Paneer

Ingredients

  • 1 bundle Palak/ Spinach
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 5 garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 3 to 4 green chilli
  • 4 to 5 cashews
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • Half teaspoon haldi powder/ turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 4 black pepper corn
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon jeera/ cumin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 250 grams paneer/ cottage cheese cubes
  • 2 dry red chilli
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 1 green elaichi/ Cardamom
  • Salt as per taste or 1 tablespoon

Method

  • Blanch palak leaves in hot water. Later dip in cold water to retain the colour
  • After it has cooled down grind it to puree and keep aside
  • In a pan pour oil add in onions, green chilli, garlic, ginger, black pepper corn, cloves and cashews, fry till golden in colour let it cool down
  • Later grind this to a fine paste, keep aside
  • In the same pan pour oil again Add bay leaf along with jeera and fry it
  • Add green elaichi also now pour the onion paste and cook for few seconds
  • Add haldi powder, coriander powder and red Chilli powder. Fry it well
  • Pour in spinach puree mix this well
  • Add salt with paneer cubes
  • Bring it to boil
  • Once it has boiled for few minutes Add in lemon juice and sugar  Let it simmer, off the flame
  • Keep it aside
  • Now take small fry pan pour in ghee heat it up add in minced garlic let it turn light brown in colour, now add in dry red chilli with kashmiri red chilli powder and mix it well off the flame pour it on the palak paneer and mix
  • Enjoy it with hot rotis
