Panjiris are a very essential part of any Indian puja as a prasad. Very easy and quick to make. So simple and non fancy prasad which is made by the rich and poor both. I am trying to say that it is so budget friendly.
Health wise also they are good. This gives you the required energy.

Cooking this panjiri is fast as I said. Just dry roast the flour on low flame till golden brown in colour. Mix all the given Ingredients and your prasad for puja is ready. Mostly offered during Satyanarayan katha at every household. Different states have different variations of making, but in Uttarpradesh you will see wheat flour being used.
Assembling this panjiri just takes seconds, only dry roasting is a bit time consuming. As we can’t hurry in roasting there are chances of burning of the flour. Also depends on the amount of flour you are using.
Let’s see what goes in making this
Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- Half cup Chopped dryfruits
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Half cup foxnut
- Half cup Ghee
- 1 tablespoon dry rose petals (optional)
- Half cup sugar
