Gobi manchurian


Gobi manchurian is an Indo-Chinese food,well known only in India not China,one can find this in every resto all across the country and loved by kids as well as adults.My kids are fond of them very much,give them gobi ki sabzi,they wont eat when its gobi manchurian I cant think of any thing left for me to eat.Its a simple dish to make and quick

Ingredients

  • 1 large size gobi(cauliflower)
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 3 to 4 tsp maida(all-purpose flour)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chopped green chili(or as per taste)
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 5 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1 cup spring onion
  • oil for frying
  • salt(as per taste)
  • 2 tsp schezwan sauce

    Method

  • cut the gobi into desired size florets and boil them in salt water,so that gobi gets half-cooked and clean
  • mix maida,salt,cornflour and baking soda with water,the batter has to be thick not flowy
  • add gobi to the batter and mix well,so that it gets coated properly
  • Heat oil for deep-frying in a pan n fry all the florets till golden brown
  • take 1 to 2 tsp of oil in another pan add the ginger-garlic paste,spring onions and green chili,now add soya sauce,vinegar,salt,tomato sauce and schezwan sauce the mixture is ready
  • add all the fried gobi florets in it and toss well
  • Gobi manchurian is ready to be serve hot
