Lay’s Cheese Chaat


  • One pack of Lay’s chips
  • 1/2 cup Chopped onions
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Green chutney
  • 2 tablespoon veg burger mayonnaise
  • Black salt
  • Few coriander leaves
  • Black pepper powder
  • Cheese slices


  • Spread Lay’s on a microwave safe plate
  • Top them with Chopped onions , tomato, green chutney, black salt, coriander leaves and last the main ingredient cheese slices
  • Microwave it for few seconds till cheese melts
  • Remove it from the oven
  • Sprinkle some black pepper powder and enjoy

Beetroot powder recipe

Have you ever tried making beet powder?? Now one would wonder why will I do that…. agreed with you, but if you are someone who wants to try out new things, then you will love doing this recipe, that’s the reason you are here right! Love playing Holi… but hesitant with the market colours…use these and your skin is completely safe, without the fear of dealing with infection.

Beetroot Powder

So beet powder is made from beetroot by sundrying them.

Skip using food colour and start healthy with this red colour.

Making them is quite simple, only ingredient needed is beetroot.

Uses of beetroot powder

  • Use them in cakes, while making red velvet

How do you process this

Buy some fresh beetroot, cut them into slices or sticks

Spread them on a dry cloth or sheet

Sun-dry them for a week or till Crispy

Grind to a fine powder

Store in an air tight container

Stays good for 3 months without refrigerating , if you stay in a dry place. Otherwise refrigerate it.

Don’t use wet spoon, keep it airtight this will be good for days.

Baked Veg Au Gratin

We all work hard in giving one’s family the best of healthy food, by making kids eat more of veggies or trying to convince them.

Veg au gratin is one such recipe which I love baking and my kids enjoy eating them….the main reason is the amount of cheese is added to the recipe, layered with white sauce n topped with mozzarella, cheddar cheese.

Very simple recipe, extremely easy to make, enjoy them with your favourite bread. Love the vibrant colour this recipe has.

  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup capsicum
  • 2 tablespoon garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt or as per taste
  • 1 cup white sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper powder


  • Cut all the veggies
  • Take a pan pour olive oil and butter
  • Saute all the given veggies for 1 minute by adding garlic and salt
  • Take a baking dish grease it with olive oil
  • Layer the veggies, top it with white sauce by fully covering the veggies
  • Again layer another layer of veggies, pour the white sauce spread it evenly. Click here for the recipe White sauce
  • Sprinkle black pepper powder
  • Top with generous amount of mozzarella and cheddar cheese
  • By covering well
  • Sprinkle some olive oil
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or till the crust is brown

Mango mousse

Aroma of mango makes anyone salivating, recipes with mangoes are endless, but one of my favourite is this creamy , velvety mango mousse. I use fruits which are in season, don’t prefer the canned one’s.

If you having guests over, try this recipe for dessert, they’ll definitely gonna love this.

Making them is quite simple and quick. Only thing to remember is whichever mango you are using, they have to be sweet, even a little bit of sourness will ruin the mousse. Do keep this in mind before you start your prep.

Mango mousse


  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup mango pulp
  • Mango essence


  • Whisk whip cream till it doubles up.
  • And forms peak
  • Keep a little cream aside with added mango essence.
  • Rest take it in another bowl, add mango pulp
  • Add few drops of mango essence
  • Gently fold it and mix the pulp with cream
  • Take a piping bag fill it and pipe in the glass you are serving
  • And top it with the white cream using the piping bag.
  • Now, chill it in the refrigerator before serving
  • Enjoy it as required.

Mushroom Taka Tak

This recipe is so easy and quick to make, let me tell you it took me ten minutes to just cook. Taste wise it was awesome.

If you are having guests over for dinner this one subzi will be your highlight as the guests will definitely go drooling over this yum recipe.

Spices used here are minimal , main masala is the ginger garlic n green chili paste, which gives this recipe the restaurant taste.

How to clean 🍄mushrooms?

Many just clean with a dry cloth and use them, but I prefer blanching them in hot water and them cleaning with kitchen towel.

Which mushroom are used here?

White mushrooms are used here which is widely used for culinary cooking.

Mushrooms are high in water content. They don’t need to be deep fried, use them directly in the recipe.

In my house it’s only me and my son who love mushrooms, rest all just look at it like a fungi😀 many vegetarian do not eat this mushrooms as they are a fungi…

Mushroom Taka Tak

Mushroom Taka Tak


  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1 capsicum Chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoon garlic
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon ginger
  • 5 to 6 green chili
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter


  • Blanch mushrooms and clean them with the kitchen towel.
  • Later cut into pieces
  • Take a blender, grind ginger, garlic n green chili into fine paste.
  • Add 1 to 2 tablespoon water if you want
  • Heat a kadhai with oil n butter
  • Pour in the grinded paste and saute till the raw smell is gone
  • Now, add chopped onions, saute till translucent
  • Add in tomato, keep it half cooked
  • Now add capsicum give the veggies a stir, add in the mushrooms mix again
  • Add red chili powder, garam masala powder and tomato sauce with salt
  • Give it a nice mix and cook for five minutes
  • Mushroom Taka Tak is ready to be enjoyed with roti , Naan or parathas

Kurkure Bhel


  • Pack of kurkure (favourite flavour)
  • 1/2 onion Chopped
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • Coriander leaves
  • Nylon sev
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kala namak/ rock salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder


  • First open the pack and keep aside some kurkure, rest you crush them up.
  • Now in a mixing bowl add crushed kurkure, onion, tomato, red chili powder, chaat masala, Kala namak, coriander leaves, sev n tomato sauce.
  • Mix all this well
  • Add in the leftover kurkure and mix
  • Take a serving glass or bowl
  • Fill the kurkure bhel top with some sev and serve this to your guests or friends.

Easy way to peel off Garlic

Peeling garlic is really a tedious job to do if you don’t know the trick. In my house garlic is consumed in every food cooked, except for Navratris.

So, peeling garlic is a big headache for me. Especially when the garlic is newly harvested, their skin don’t peel off fast.

When you think of storing garlic in bulk this tip will work wonders. Without the pain in your thumb.

So let’s get started.

How to peel Garlic quickly…

  1. Take a bowl full of water at room temperature.
  2. Soak the garlic pods in the water for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes cut the tip of the garlic with knife, rest of the skin comes out easily.
  4. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
  5. Use when required.
  6. Life is much easier by this tip.

  • 2 cups vanilla icecream
  • 4 teaspoon instant coffee concentrate
  • 1 cup milk (chilled)
  • Chocolate syrup (optional)
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • Some crushed oreo biscuits for garnish


  • In a blender jar add milk, crushed oreos, icecream, chocolate syrup (if using) instant coffee
  • Blend this on high speed
  • Pour this in a serving glass
  • Top it with some whipped cream and oreo biscuits
  • Ready to enjoy

This one cake is hands down favourite of all, literally all. Me included, as baking is a science we all know. Here I do have a perfect recipe down for you to keep as collection.

With this recipe you won’t go wrong on your baking. Many a times you get the recipe but not the exact cups or the tin. Here I’ll explain every detail so that you don’t go through what I have been to.In this one post you will get to know how to make chocolate sponge and the icing.

Chocolate cake


Ingredients for Sponge

  • 200 grams Maida/ Refined flour
  • 35 to 40 grams cocoa powder
  • 200 grams powdered sugar
  • 120 grams milk powder
  • 120 grams milk (room temperature)
  • 120 grams white butter/ margarine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • 5 ml vanilla essence

Ingredients for icing

  • Chocolate chips
  • Chocolate ganache
  • Whipped cream
  • Sugar water


  • 1 cup = 240 grams
  • 1 teaspoon = 5 ml


  • In a mixing bowl seive maida,cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder. Mix this well
  • Now, take another bowl pour in milk, powdered sugar, milk powder, butter and vanilla essence. This has to be whisked very well for say 2 minutes.
  • Pour this mixture little by little in the dry ingredient
  • Incorporate it well,don’t over mix it or beat hard.
  • Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 160°
  • Now grease a 8 inch tin with butter or place a parchment paper
  • Once oven is ready add the lemon juice in the cake mix,pour in the tin for baking.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes
  • Eggless chocolate cake is ready to be enjoyed.
  • For icing the cake, first cut the cake into 2 layers.
  • Soak the cake with sugar water
  • Spread ganache on first layer, chocolate whipped cream and some chocolate chips, place the second layer again soak this layer, repeat the process
  • Cover it with whipped cream, here I have added ganache in the whipped cream for the the chocolatey flavour.
  • Pipe your favorite design on the cake with different types of nozzle.


  • All the ingredients should be at room temperature
  • Use cups with exact measurements
  • The above measurement is for 8″ tin if you have a small tin divide by half.

White sauce

White sauce has become so legendary that it goes well with everything you cook.

Known as Bechmel sauce in France. Serves well with pasta, Mac n cheese, nachos n sautéed veggies.

This is really simple to make and store if you want. Butter is sautéed with refined flour and later add milk. That’s how simple this is.

Utensils used here

If you use a non stick pan that will be better. If not a good stainless steel pan also works well.

White sauce



  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon maida/ refined flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • Half tablespoon salt
  • Half tablespoon black pepper powder
  • 2 to 3 tablespoon grated cheese


  • Heat a pan add butter/oil let it melt, add in the flour and saute till colour changes
  • Pour in the milk , keeping rest for further use
  • This mixture starts to thicken, add more milk to it
  • It should be of pouring consistency
  • Lower the flame add black pepper powder, salt and cheese
  • Give it a nice mix.
  • There shouldn’t be any lumps in it
  • Once it boils, off the flame
  • White sauce is ready for use


If you are struggling with the lumps in the sauce, then just blend the sauce in blender for 30 seconds only, you will get creamy and smooth white sauce. But keep in mind , the mixture is hot use blender accordingly.

KitKat Milkshake

If you have tried my recipes you will notice them to be simple, easy and quick to make. As me myself is no complicated person and recipes have to be simple or I’ll create one.

How to make it taste like cafe shop.

Trick here is to use everything chilled or frozen if possible. This gives you the taste.

Are ice cubes used

If you are using frozen milk , then no need of ice. If not then vice-versa

KitKat shake



  • 1 cup milk(frozen)
  • 2 to 3 scoops vanilla icecream
  • 2 KitKat sticks
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • More KitKat for garnish


  • Take a blender jar, pour milk, icecream and KitKat
  • Blend it for a minute
  • Take a serving glass pipe whipped cream
  • Pour the KitKat shake till half
  • Again pipe whipped cream
  • Garnish with KitKat
  • Serve it chilled
  • Yummy and drooling KitKat shake is ready for this summer.


Use of whipping cream is completely optional, you can skip it and add more scoops of ice cream here.

Pan Fried Banana

Love Banana’s then this recipe is just for you and your loved one’s . Simple easy and quick recipe for anytime cravings. My son loves this a lot. Just follow the recipe and you don’t have to bother.

What goes in making this.

Here we only need sugar, butter, cinnamon powder and some Chopped dry fruit. That’s it…sounds cool…right.

Type of banana used.

We need semi riped banana here, over riped will be too mushy.

Pan Fried banana



  • 2 bananas Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon/ nutmeg powder
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter


  • Take a non stick pan, add butter
  • Let it melt, add in sugar
  • Let the sugar dissolve
  • Now place the Chopped bananas on the butter and fry till golden brown in colour
  • Off the flame, place the fried banana on a serving plate
  • Garnish with cinnamon/ nutmeg powder
  • And some Chopped nuts
  • Pan Fried bananas are ready for serving
