Today’s recipe is made of baby corn and paneer. Simple and masaledar one. Quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chopped baby corn
  • 1 cup paneer diced
  • 1/2 cup onions shelled
  • 1/2 cup capsicum chopped
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 4 to 5 cashews
  • 4 to 5 garlic
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 2 tomato chopped
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 black cardamom or badi elaichi
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 black peppercorn
  • 1 teaspoon haldi/turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon garam masala powder
  • 2 to 3 green chilli slits long
  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
  • 1 teaspoon tomato sauce
  • Salt as per taste or 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil/butter
  • Water as per the consistency

Method

  • Boil baby corn strain and keep aside
  • Heat oil or butter in a kadhai fry onion and capsicum separately on high flame remove on a plate
  • In the same kadhai add oil and let it heat up saute onion, garlic, ginger, cashews, cloves, black peppercorn, tomatoes
  • Cook till mushy
  • Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, haldi powder and water
  • Cook for a few minutes
  • Let the masala cool down, then grind to a fine paste
  • Keep the paste aside
  • Again use the same kadhai pour oil n butter add in green chilli, black cardamom, bay leaf, fried onion n capsicum
  • Now add the baby corn and fry for a second
  • Pour in the ground paste, mix it well
  • Add garam masala powder, kasuri methi, salt and tomato sauce
  • Mix it well and adjust water consistency as required.

Baby Corn Manchurian

RECIPE

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of baby corn
  • 2 tablespoon rice flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup capsicum Chopped
  • 1/2 cup onions Chopped
  • 2 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon red chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon schezwan chutney
  • spring onion for garnish
  • 2 tablespoon more water
  • Oil for deep frying

Method:

  • Cut baby corn into pieces
  • Take a mixing bowl, add rice flour , half tablespoon salt , mix this well
  • Add in Chopped baby corn and coat well, add 2 tablespoon water and mix it well
  • Keep aside
  • Heat pan with oil, deep fry the coated baby corn till Crispy brown
  • Remove and keep aside
  • In the same pan, after taking extra oil out add ginger, garlic saute for few seconds
  • Add in onions and capsicum with a pinch of salt, give it a mix
  • Add in the given sauces along with vinegar and 2 tablespoon water
  • Now add fried baby corn and mix
  • Adjust the salt according to taste
  • Garnish with spring onions
  • Serve hot as snack or breakfast

Chinese vermicelli


We usually keep making the onion-tomato version of vermicelli,today just wanted something chinese and grabed this vermicelli and cooked in my style.with only few veggies available in the pantry,instead of heading and shopping I prefered of cooking with whatever is there.Chinese cuisine is one such dish which is loved by all and you don’t have to request them to finish this off.

Try this different style vermicelli for your kids lunch box or as a evening snack,you won’t be disappointed.

Vermicelli is often stored at every Indian household for making of seviya,either we cook sweet or salty,this time let’s cook chinese.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vermicelli cook as per given in packet
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green capsicum chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon schezwan chutney
  • 2 tablespoon boiled sweet corn(optional)
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • oil for cooking

Method:

  • First cook vermicelli as per the instructions given on the packet
  • Heat oil in a kadhai on medium flame
  • Add in ginger-garlic paste,saute till raw smell has gone
  • Add in green chillies, onions and saute till soft
  • Add in veggies(whichever you are using) cabbage, capsicum and boiled corn
  • Saute for few seconds
  • Next add in the given sauces with salt
  • Mix well
  • Add sugar
  • Add cooked vermicelli
  • Toss it well
  • Garnish with chopped capsicum and corn
  • Serve hot
  • Chinese vermicelli is ready to be served

  • 1/4 tablespoon chaat masala
  • 1 pinch of kala namak
  • 1/2 tablespoon tomato ketchup

Method

  • Boil the corn first and strain it
  • Take them in a mixing bowl
  • Add all the given ingredients
  • Give it a lovely mix

Sweet corn or American corn was introduced to us by Domino’s and Pizza hut outlets, after having pizza from them we came to know there is something called as sweet corn which is much sweeter in taste,though the desi corns are much healthier as anything grow locally is good for human body, but coming to sweet corns they just add all the glam to our pizzas, burgers and sandwiches, don’t you agree to this.I remember eating masala sweet corn when i was in college,till date i can’t forget the taste.I do have a tendency of admiring at people cooking be them street food or a home cook,after continues stare at the corn vendor 😆 I got to know what he added to the masala corn and that’s how i started cooking at home.

Masala sweet corn

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sweet corn kernels
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 salt
  • 1/4 tablespoon red chilli powder or kashmiri lal mirch
  • 1/2 tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper powder
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Method

  • Boil corn in hot water for 2 minutes with salt
  • Strain and keep aside
  • Heat oil and butter in a kadhai
  • Add in the boiled corn
  • Stir it
  • Keep it on medium heat
  • Add in all the given spices with salt
  • Mix it well
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
  • Serve it hot
  • Masala sweet corn is ready to indulge
